This painting is dedicated to my friend Tripp Brower who was an advocate to advance Lowcountry Maritime Society into schools. Per their website, “Established in 2014, the Lowcountry Maritime School is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping educate our youth in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math using boatbuilding and other maritime activities as our teaching platform.” I captured the beauty of this handmade wooden boat at a fundraising event for LMS.
